Single-Use Assemblies

Single-use assemblies are used to simplify and speed-up manufacturing processes that require intricate setups, offering a flexible and scalable solution that is pre-sterilised and ready-to-use.

What is a single-use assembly for bioprocessing?

A single-use assembly is a pre-made process solution that includes components, such as hose and tubing, connectors, bottles, filters, sensors and other fittings to meet specific requirements of a process. Opting for single-use rather than standard reusable system eliminates the risk of cross-contamination and reduces valuable time and cost involved in cleaning.

Single-use assemblies are widely used in the biopharmaceutical industry due to their flexibility and scalability across all stages of a bioprocess.

Which single-use assembly is right for me?

No application is the same. From small-scale assemblies, to full-scale production design, we can help you to create a solution that fits the needs of your application.

Gamma-irradiated?

Gamma-irradiated single-use assemblies ensure minimal bioburden, whilst saving you time by eliminating the need for additional autoclaving.

Single-Use Assemblies can be gamma irradiated to a dose between 25-45 kGy and are supplied with a gamma certificate issued as standard.

Assemblies can be supplied non-irradiated for process development applications. Which can provide a cost-saving in development stages where irradiation is not required.

How is Gamma Irradiation Calculated?

Gamma irradiation dosage is measured in kilogray (kGy) units, which quantify the absorbed energy of radiation. One gray is the absorption of one joule of radiation energy by one kilogram of matter (one kGy = one joule/gram).

Have you considered single-use scale-up?

It’s important that when you make decisions about your process design that you consider the future for your application. By making your initial selections with challenges and the restrictions in mind, you are then able to ensure easy and simple single-use scale up – anytime

Our 4 Steps to Custom Single-Use Assemblies

Combining your specifications and knowledge of your process, together with our extensive toolbox and experience, we create custom designs to enhance and optimise your process. Working with complete open architecture, utilising the technology that best fits your requirements.

Listen

We take the time to listen to your needs, understand your process, learn about the purpose and recognise your limitations.

Design

After understanding your needs, we provide our proposal to you. Together we discuss, amend and refine the proposal before we proceed.

Build

Working with our supply partners or in our cleanroom facility in Salford. We build your assembly to your exact specifications

Supply

Once supplied we continue to provide ongoing sales support, following up with you to ensure your needs are met. Whilst also ensuring you have the latest quality updates.
